WHAT DO WE OFFER?

COMMITMENT TO BRIDGE FAITH WITH REASON

TRANSLATION SERVICES IN 4 LANGUAGES ON TOPICS RELATED TO SCIENCE AND THEOLOGY
ONLINE COURSES ON TOPICS CONCERNING THE CATHOLIC FAITH

Understanding fe follows the instruction of the Catholic Church regarding the intelligence of the faith.

Romans 1:20, the Church Fathers' writings, Confessions of Saint Augustine, the Summa Theologiae of Thomas Aquinas, as well as the Pontifical documents Divino Afflante Spiritu, Gaudium et Spes, and Fides et Ratio, are examples of works that encourage us to deepen in our understanding of the Catholic faith.

In the past months, Understanding fe translated a few academic conferences from English to Spanish for the Ateneo Pontificio Regina Apostolorum in Rome. These conferences were offered by the Istituto Scienza e Fede during the first semester of 2024. The topic of these 12 conferences was the Holy Shroud. Mr. Barrie Schwortz, one of the STURP members, elaborated on the different tests performed and the results obtained during the analysis of the Sindone of Turin in 1978.

Additionally, Understanding fe translated 20 conferences from Italian to Spanish since the summer of 2023. These conferences were offerred by different academics for the Istituto Scienza e Fede of the Ateneo Pontificio Regina Apostolorum in Rome. Among the translated topics are God and Nature, the works of Fr. Stanley Jaki, Artificial Intelligence, Neuroscience, and Quantum Indeterminacy.

Understanding fe knows about the difficulty of finding adequate materials to start digging into the rationalisation of the faith. The Fathers of the Church advise us to reflect on what we believe so we believe more deeply. Reason is a powerful instrument for having a stronger faith and giving intellectual meaning to our beliefs.
